Bye Bye Bye. Not literally, of course.

Yeah, so I was pretty addicted to °C-ute’s latest single at first, but the annoying techno voices in the beginning, like everyone else is commenting, is finally getting on my nerves. Does anyone sense Perfume in this single? I do. There’s just some effects that sound better with Perfume than with younger voices from °C-ute. Is that why Perfume started out with songs that didn’t exactly have techno effects?

Anyways, back to the real review. So we’re seeing some line share here, are we? Mai and Saki seem to be minors once again, which actually makes sense. In fact, Mai gets a big solo line, the first one in the song. Saki gets one about as big shortly after that, and then Maimi and Airi take over once again. In the chorus, you’ll see some Chisato getting small solo lines, as well. Her voice is pretty different than when I last heard her, which makes it all worth it.

But poor Erika! I didn’t see her in the video until halfway in the video. In fact, it might just be me, but I didn’t hear her voice in any solo lines. I saw her singing in a duet line with Airi, which might be a good thing, but otherwise, I barely heard her. I didn’t even see her that much. Are things taking a turn without Kanna?

That reminds me. No Kanna. Wait, you must have known that by now. It’s all on the news. Kanna has a foot bunion or something, and she can’t be in this single, because she’s having surgery. That’s really sad, because she missed out on the almost even line share, with the poor exception of Erika.

So back to the real review. I really wanted to get to the outfits, because they’re pretty cool. I’m guessing they’re made out of something waterproof, because they’re all shiny and white and stuff. Everyone’s wearing basically the same thing, except for Airi, who’s wearing really short sleeves, and I’m trying to get back to another girl who had some pink sleeves on. Anyways, it doesn’t matter. The outfits really reminded me of this certain picture of Airi, I think from that concert where it was called… I think… Berryz Kamen. I’m not sure. But anyways, here’s the picture.

Did they recycle the outfit? Because it looks really similar, with the colors and design and all. Anyways, they’re short, like always. There’s not much else to say than that.

The song was plain annoying. The beginning is flooded with techno sound effects, not actually sound effects, but English speaking parts. Like, “Hate control.” I don’t know, it just sounds really weird. Especially because nothing matches with nothing. The middle is flooded with these parts, too, therefore ruining the nicely matchec chorus and Chisato solo lines.

The chorus, by the way, was okay. I mean, I like listening to it now and then, but it’s not on the tops. The only reason I listen to this song is to remember Chisato’s voice and cherish the sound of it. Then again, there’s mostly Airi, who evewn though is my favorite member, tends to get on my nerves sometimes. It’s not her fault, but her voice hasn’t really improved. It’s gotten more nasually and squeaky, therefore ruining the nice effects of Maimi and Chisato’s voices. Yes, I’ve actually started to like Maimi.

Finally, the dance. It’s obviously not too bad, and the chorus’s, “Bye bye bye.” is actually pretty catchy. I guess it’s not too hard, but I haven’t seen the dance shot yet, so I can’t really say it yet. The solo line’s parts look really difficult for me, and there’s also so much energy put into it. There’s no way I can say how good it is yet.

So all in all I guess it hit pretty nicely on me. Except with the cheesy and corny techno effects and the only almost even line share, with Chisato only getting two worded solo lines, it’s pretty good. Even though Chisato only got a few solo lines, she still got something, and it’s better than nothing, right? I’ll be looking forward to hear other people’s reviews,. anyways.
